If you are an ardent fan of popular TV show Game of Thrones, then you probably already know the popular saying ‘Valar Morghulis‘, which means ‘All Men Must Die’. And the creators of the show certainly stick to this with all conviction. While deaths on Game of Thrones are often surprising and shocking, there are few deaths that gave immense relief and satisfaction to the fans. These characters were never liked and frankly, we all wanted them to die. Here’s a list of top 11 Game of Thrones most satisfying deaths:
Belonging to the noble house Targaryen, he was destined to do great work but he was greedy, impatient and bit annoying that let him to his early demise. All he ever talked about was the golden crown & he was surely given one. Frankly, we hardly got any time to know him better.
She was the priest at the House of Black and White. She was always hard and mean to Arya as she believed Arya has had it too easy. The Waif has been there for far longer, and she’s jealous that Arya’s getting to be ‘no one’ so soon.
9The High Sparrow
He was a religious fanatic who always talked about justice and faith. He believed in absolute atonement. One such incident was Cersei’s walk of shame. He also held people captives in inhumane conditions against their will.
He was not among the hated characters until he did the unthinkable. Stannis ordered his young daughter Shireen to be burned alive to please the Lord of Light. The little girl kept screaming for help but all her crying shouts fell on deaf ears. He certainly deserved to die after what he had done.
7Sir Alliser Thorne
He had a hard time to accept Jon Snow as the new Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. He questioned his moves and decisions relentlessly. Finally, he crossed the line when he devised his treacherous plan to kill Jon Snow. He was surely cursed by all the fans for this.
6Ser Meryn Trant
His wrongdoings started right from season 1 itself when he killed Arya’s beloved sword-fighting instructor Syrio Forel. He showed no mercy when he beats Sansa on Joffrey’s orders. And not to forget he was a paedophile as well.
He was a man who held the ‘Lannister’ name to the absolute significance and was hell bent upon in making his legacy successful. For this reason, he never treated Tyrion properly as he never saw him worthy of carrying his legacy forward. For a man who exudes authority and power, it was quite ironic the way he died.
Betrayal!! That is what she did to Tyrion by testifying against him at his trial. Tyrion tried to send her away for her safety but she refused to. She even went on to the extent of sleeping with Tywin, Tyrion’s father, which was absolutely heartbreaking for Tyrion.
Red Wedding! Nothing else to say.
He was a nightmare to the Starks and to Theon in special. He was savage, brutal and his means to get things done were nothing short of inhuman. He was easily among the most hated characters on the show. One thing that Ramsay’s death had taught us all is, always feed your dogs on time.
Let’s be honest. We all hated him to the core and he rightly deserves the top spot on the list. He was spoilt, obnoxious, arrogant and coward. The fans were over the moon when Joffrey was choking to his death. The poison did the work on that little brat and it was good riddance indeed!
